About Our Mentors (2012 Season)

Jeff Ousley – Head Coach – 2nd year involved with FRC; Expertise in JAVA and HTML programming, website development, and electronics.  Jeff is in charge of the controls side of the build process.  He has a B.S. degree in Electronics Engineering Technology.
Craig Fritts – Last season’s head coach – Mechanical Engineer and project manager; 10 years of involvement with FIRST Robotics, including 3 years with FRC teams, and 8 years coaching FIRST Lego League teams. Craig will be assisting with robot design, mechanical systems, and integrated robot operation.
Dan Justice – Mechanical Engineer, college level instructor; Dan will be providing assistance to the students for robot design, training, and electrical system fabrication and troubleshooting.
Sharon Ousley – With a B.S. in Accounting and Business Administration and many years of financial bookkeeping experience, Sharon will be involved with team logistics, team image, fundraising, and the chairman’s award.
Lori Fritts – 10 years of involvement with FIRST Robotics, including 3 years with FRC teams, and 8 years coaching FIRST Lego League teams. Lori will be helping with team image, fundraising, team spirit, and the chairman’s award.
Rebekah Davis – With several years of experience in the non-profit sector, Rebekah will be working with the Up Next! Leadership Foundation, assisting the team with marketing and awards.

Kim Lawrence—Biomedical Engineer worked on first human gene therapy project, as well as HIV research. 3 years previous experience with FIRST Robotics, including FRC (active parent, mentor, team advisor for 3 years) and FLL (coach for 2 years). Kim will help with travel arrangements and building of field components.

Jim Lindgren– is a retired aviation mechanic and avionics specialist Jim will be assisting the build team with robot construction and brainstorming.
 Jude Pierre- is a Freshman at Metropolitan Community College, majoring in Information Technology. He is assisting our CAD team.
 Steve Cowley- has a background is electronics and computer networking. Steve is assisting with the design/build process.
 Nathan Chrisman– was a student team member during the 2011 season. He mainly worked on the build team and helped write awards. Nathan is a student mentor this year assisting the build team.
Logan Fritts – has 10 years involvement in FIRST. Logan has coached FLL teams and was a Dean’s List Finalist last year. He is a Freshman in College majoring in Audio Engineering. He credits FIRST with helping him develop his public speeching skills and his love of engineering.
