About Our Team

Up Next Mission Statement: Our mission is first and foremost, to glorify our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in everything we do. We also aim to provide leadership, life, and technical skill development opportunities for the homeschool community in the fun and highly competitive environment of FIRST Robotics.

After achieving great success with eight years experience in FIRST Lego League robotics, Craig and Lori Fritts started FRC Team 3528 – Up Next in 2010. We are a primarily homeschooled robotics team based out of Kansas City, Missouri. We currently have twenty committed student members and several very qualified mentors. Each and every one of our team members is expected to fully contribute to the success of the team. This means that everyone is exposed to the entire process, from promotions and team image to the complete build process.

As a Christian team, we devote our lives to Jesus Christ in everything we do. The Bible verse that inspires us the most is Colossians 3:17, “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Up Next will be spending their build season at Metropolitan Community College – Business and Technology Campus (MCC BTC) designing and building a robot to complete this year’s FIRST challenge. We are very grateful to MCC for their support of our team. Without them, we wouldn’t exist!

We are all excited for this year’s competition and hope to do the very best we can for our awesome God.
